Key Responsibilities:
Set up and perform inspections independently; determine appropriate inspection methods based on part complexity and requirements.
Notify manufacturing or assembly teams of non-conforming conditions; request and monitor corrective actions for effectiveness.
Record inspection results and generate required inspection reports in accordance with procedures.
Conduct final inspections and tests on completed products and assemblies. Conduct first article inspections.
Perform first-piece inspections on complex parts and verify vendor-supplied items for specification and certification compliance.
Use a wide range of mechanical inspection tools and equipment, including micrometers, height stands, surface plates, gauges (thread, plug, plating thickness), hardness testers, optical comparators, and gauge blocks.
Assist with and learn to perform NDT inspections in accordance with T9074-AS-G1B-010/271 and magnetic particle inspections per ASTM E1444 and NAVSEA -271.
Create technique sheets and conduct magnetic particle inspections on parts per ASTM E1444.
Create technique sheets and conduct liquid penetrant inspections on parts as per specifications.
Assist in conducting vendor audits and independently accept vendors at their sites after training.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all health and safety requirements.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training
4-5 years’ inspection experience
Level II NDT Certification required for VT, MT and PT to SNT-TC-1A and/or NAS 410
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize according to business needs
